Legal Practice. Laurie Poole has extensive experience representing common interest developments, including master planned communities, large condominium projects, senior communities, mixed-use, and highrise developments. The majority of her practice involves interpreting, amending and enforcing governing documents, advising boards on compliance matters, addressing insurance issues, negotiating and drafting contracts and other agreements, and dispute resolution.

Industry Activities. Laurie is an active volunteer for the Community Associations Institute (CAI) and the California Association of Community Managers (CACM). She is a Fellow of the prestigious College of Community Association Lawyers (CCAL), currently serving on the Board of Governors as President. She is a Past President of the San Diego Chapter of CAI, is a frequent speaker at industry events, and has published numerous articles on common interest development law.

Case Law. Laurie has already had a significant impact in California's Courts of Appeal. She was Appellate Counsel in Quail Lakes v. Kozina (2012); Trial and Appellate Counsel in Mission Shores v. Pheil (2008); Trial Counsel in Fourth La Costa v. Seith (2008); and Amicus Counsel for CAI in Orchard Estate Homes v. The Orchard Homeowner Alliance (2019), 32 Cal.App.5th 471. Through Laurie's efforts, eleven appellate decisions have become published case law in California.
