TONYA L. TODD, ESQ

General Counsel. Tonya currently serves as corporate and litigation counsel to boards of directors of common interest developments throughout California. She counsels boards on managing conflict, director duties and responsibilities, meetings, elections, and corporate governance, as well compliance with the Davis-Stirling Act, document interpretation and enforcement.

Former JAG Officer. As a Captain in the Army and JAG Officer, Tonya became a broadly skilled advocate.  She served several years as a criminal defense attorney and then as a prosecutor; where she successfully led the prosecution or defense of felony level cases. Later, Tonya was appointed as a Magistrate Judge and presided over preliminary hearings, pretrial confinement hearings, traffic court and ruled on law enforcement applications for search and arrest warrants.

Tonya also issued over 150 legal opinions on matters such as sexual harassment and discrimination claims, whistleblower retaliation complaints, ethics, environmental law, and the legal sufficiency of criminal investigations. Her other assignments included the management of attorneys and paralegals providing legal assistance to military personnel, and the management of re-integration of soldiers from combat areas for smooth transitions between duty locations.
