ROBERT "ROB" WARD, ESQ

 

Corporate Counsel. Rob Ward has more than 20 years' experience handling complex matters for homeowner associations and single-family unit owners, helping to recover over $200 Million in settlements and judgments for his clients. Rob also advises homeowner association boards on general legal matters, including governing document amendments, rules and policy updates, handling owner/association disputes, and HOA-related litigation. Additionally, he has extensive experience handling complex construction defect claims in the Southern California area.

Complex Litigation. Prior to beginning his legal career, Rob worked in Washington, D.C., helping develop public policy for industry leaders and legislators. After he passed the California Bar, he began working on multi-million dollar complex actions in both California and Nevada, including disputes involving product liability, misrepresentation issues and residential construction defects against residential developers, converters, and insurance companies.

Industry Acvtivities. Rob is active in several trade organizations, including Community Association Institute’s San Diego and Orange County chapters. He also serves as a delegate for the San Diego chapter’s Legislative Action Committee, where he helps CAI monitor and shape new legislation affecting community associations in California. Rob frequently publishes articles on defect litigation and community association issues, and is a sought-after speaker at various industry events and educational seminars.
