Legal Practice. Karen is drawn to community association law because it touches on the personal, economic and societal aspects of our lives as neighbors, community members and Californians. Karen is an experienced HOA attorney working with boards of directors on election disputes, rules violations, fiduciary duties, amending governing documents, nuisance complaints, and mediations. Prior to joining Adams Stirling she gained solid litigation experience with personal injury claims, complex tort actions, premises liability, toxic torts, and nonjudicial foreclosures.
Community Service. Karen is also active in her community of Alameda through membership in the Alameda Architectural Preservation Society, volunteering in public schools, and hosting get-out-the-vote efforts, parent support groups and other community events.
Ms. St. Onge volunteers her time to support education and advocacy efforts by the Bay Area and Central Valley Chapter of the Community Association Institute (CAI). She also volunteers as a speaker and writer for CAI, the California Association of Community Managers (CACM) and the Education Community for Homeowners (ECHO).
