Laura Whipple, Firm Administrator

Laura Whipple is Director of Administration for Adams Stirling PLC. She manages Firm operations, accounting, finance, compliance, insurance and benefits, and human resources.

Laura is on the Board of Directors of the Association of Legal Administrators - Greater Los Angeles and Chairs the Employment Law Forum. She is also on the Membership Committee, assisting the Chapter's intake of new members and continuing education.

Laura belongs to UN Women, a branch of the United Nations, which is devoted to fostering gender equality. Their aim is to heighten awareness of women's leadership and political participation, economic empowerment, ending violence against women and peace and security for women around the globe.

Laura holds a BA in European History and an MA in Medieval and Renaissance Studies. In addition, Laura is a paralegal and a member of the Los Angeles Paralegal Association, with a certificate in civil litigation.

David Lickhalter

David Lickhalter is the Firm's Controller. With a comprehensive knowledge of accounting and auditing principles, A/P, A/R, payroll, general ledger postings, invoicing, taxation, and regulatory compliance guidelines, David oversees the Firm's financial and accounting activities, bank reconciliations; payroll, and financial reporting.

David holds a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from the University of California at Los Angeles (UCLA) and a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from the University of Southern California (USC) in Los Angeles. David is also a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) through the State of Massachusetts.

Laura Whipple

Erica Greathouse is the Firm's Chief Technology Officer. Prior to joining our Adams Stirling, Erica spent 25 years overseeing implementation of law firm technology. For fourteen of those years, Erica served as Director of Information Technology for Cox, Castle & Nicholson, one of the largest full-service law firms specializing in real estate in the United States, with over 130 transactional and litigation attorneys.

Erica serves on the Board of Directors of Women in eDiscovery's Los Angeles Chapter, and is the IT Section Chair of the Association of Legal Administrators - Greater Los Angeles.

As our firm's CTO, Erica works closely with our Technology Committee to improve our legal services through technological innovation.

Among other things, Erica oversees our eDiscovery procedures, telecom operations, internet and intranet sites, video conferencing, social media policies, and risk management.

Sue Anderson

Sue Anderson is Director of Marketing and Client Relations for the firm and also oversees the Inland Empire and Coachella Valley.

Sue previously worked for a large agency handling Fortune 100 companies. This was followed by a position as Director of Business Development for the 4th largest security services company in the U.S.

Sue earned her Bachelor of Arts from DePauw University in Indiana and is an active member of Community Associations Institute, as well as the Women Leaders Forum.

Melina Treantos, CMCA® is the Administrator of our Northern California offices as well as Client Relations Director for Northern California.

Melina has over a decade of experience in multiple areas of the common interest development industry. Her areas of expertise include escrow processing, association accounting, new community forward planning and client relations. With a true passion for the HOA industry, Melina is committed to providing superior customer service that enhances the daily operation of associations.

Maureen Davidson

Maureen Davidson is Client Relations Director for the Los Angeles region and our works closely with Adrian Adams to provide our clients with exceptional customer interaction. Maureen transmits and tracks the firm's proposals and is responsible for scheduling all attorneys for potential client interviews. She also participates in industry trade shows and luncheons and is a member of the CAI-GLAC Legislative Action Committee.

Maureen's experience includes two years in the legal field and eight years in property management. She earned her paralegal certificate in Portland, Oregon at the College of Legal Arts.

Miranda Ward

Miranda Ward, CMCA® is the Marketing Assistant servicing all our California offices' Client Relations Directors.

Miranda comes to us after 5+ years as a Community Manager in the Northern California region with previous employment accolades in the Title and Escrow industry. With a true commitment to continuing education, Miranda serves as Chair of the Education Committee for Community Association Institute – California North Chapter.

In 2007, Miranda earned her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Chico State University. In addition, she has held the Certified Manager of Community Associations designation since 2013.

Candace Schwartz

Candace Schwartz Candace Schwartz is our Client Relations Director for San Diego.

Prior to joining Adams Stirling, Candace earned her design degree from UCLA. She was a commercial interior designer for 10 years in the LA area. Candace spent 25 years in sales, marketing and customer service, as well as 10 years in management and client education.

Candace is an active member of the CAI Education Committee as well as involvement in the CAI and CACM industry trade shows and events in the San Diego and Inland Empire areas.

Christy Jones

Christy Jones is a senior litigation paralegal and obtained her paralegal certificate from MTI College. She has over 21 years of litigation experience in the areas of civil, business, real estate, and trust and estate matters. Under the supervision of attorneys, Christy works in all phases of litigation from inception through trial, including drafting pleadings and discovery, document examination and management, assisting with deposition, arbitration and trial preparation, and providing support during both jury and bench trials.

Christy was a Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA) from 2013-2016 with Voices for Children, a private nonprofit organization designated by the San Diego Superior Court to provide foster children with volunteer CASAs. CASAs act as fact-finders for the judges, providing them with information that they may never get otherwise. As a CASA, Christy's role was to consider what was in the child's best interest and to make sure that each child's individual needs were met.

Carolyn Houtz

Carolyn Houtz is a paralegal/legal assistant. She works with our attorneys handling legal filings, discovery and general litigation matters, and interacts with clients.

Carolyn is outstanding when it comes to working with clients. They love working with her and aren't shy about saying so. Carolyn is not only passionate about her job, she is passionate about her two children and sports. She gives the guys a run for their money when it comes to baseball and football.

Alejandra Alvarez

Alejandra Alvarez is a legal assistant. She provides administrative support to the firm's attorneys and staff.

Alejandra brings an exceptional work ethic and six years of administrative experience, and is extremely goal-oriented.

Alejandra is a certified Legal Secretary, having received her certification from UCLA's Legal Secretary Program.

Tammi Saucer

Tammi Saucer, Executive Assistant, works closely with Laura Whipple to provide exceptional administrative support to the Firm and its clients. Her duties include entering new clients into the Firm's systems, preparing client and vendor invoices, and preparing financial and administrative reports.

Tammi, who has an incredible 35 years' experience in administrative support in the medical field, joined our team in November 2016.

Mathew Medina

Mathew Medina is an Administrative Assistant, and assists the attorneys and paralegals with filings and other tasks. Clients and the Firm alike love him because of his can-do attitude, and because he always has a friendly smile on his face and in his voice.

Mathew, who initially joined the Firm in a temporary capacity, became a full-time employee in March 2017. He comes to us fresh out of Cal State Northridge, where he earned his degree in Sociology.

Xochitl Vazquez

Xochitl Vazquez, pronounced "So-chi" but known affectionately around the office as "X," is the Firm's Receptionist (aka "communication control guru"). She comes to us as a new graduate of Mount Saint Mary's University, where she earned a BA in Sociology. Xochitl continues to pursue her education, studying at Pierce Community College to earn Administrative Professional and Legal Office Procedures certificates.

Quynh Mai

Quynh Mai is a legal assistant in our Los Gatos office where she assists in general corporate matters and provides administrative support. She received her paralegal certificate from Evergreen Valley College where she pursued her Associate's degree, and has previously worked in family and immigration law. With more than 7 years of experience in working with clients and customers on a first hand basis, she strives to ensure all matters are handled efficiently with attention to detail.

In her free time, she enjoys cooking for her family and traveling.
